Football is a passionate game, but sometimes Shakers fans get a little too passionate.
Our undercover reporter was stalking the Shakers’ manager, Alan Knill, around our famous market when he caught this shocking snap.
Knilly was there to meet and greet the locals and discuss his love of yellow fish. Sadly the event was ruined when an irate Shakers fan interrupted, demanding he make changes to the team.
After a good start to the season, the Shakers have hit a sticky patch, losing several matches in a row. Some fans have turned on the great one and his decision to leave out fan favourite Glynn Hurst, in favour of superstar Andy Morrell. We tried to get a comment from the protesting fan, but he refused shouting “bugger off, i’m going home to polish myself”.
